Description

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) is seeking a contractor to provide engineering anomaly support to the existing Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellite (GOES)-NOP series spacecraft bus. The contractor will work with NOAA and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) to maintain spacecraft operations through decommissioning and deorbit activities. The contractor will perform tasks such as investigating on-orbit anomalies, maintaining capability to read and extract engineering data, and providing written reports for anomaly investigations. • Investigating on-orbit anomalies that affect spacecraft performance parameters and/or anomalies that threaten spacecraft health and safety • Investigating changes to the GOES mission as directed by the Contracting Officer and the Contracting Officer's Representative • Maintaining capability to read and extract engineering data from GOES-NOP archive files in Decommutated Mnemonics File (DMF) format • Participating in scheduled and occasionally unscheduled technical interchange meetings • Providing written reports for anomaly investigations

Budget estimate

$1,000,000 – $5,000,000

The budget for this opportunity is likely to be in the range of $1 million to $5 million, considering the scope of work and the fact that it's a sole source contract. The contractor will be required to provide engineering anomaly support to the GOES-NOP series spacecraft bus, which involves investigating on-orbit anomalies, maintaining capability to read and extract engineering data, and providing written reports for anomaly investigations. The budget will likely depend on the level of expertise and resources required to perform these tasks. Factors that may influence the likely payment range include the complexity of the anomalies, the frequency of technical interchange meetings, and the number of written reports required.
