Description

The Washington County Sheriff’s Department is seeking a qualified mental health provider/agency to conduct confidential one-on-one virtual mental health assessments for approximately 115 police officers. The provider/agency will be responsible for conducting assessments every two years, as required by the Maryland Police Training and Standards Commission. The assessments will include components such as normalization of trauma and trauma reactions, exploration of activities to mitigate job stress, and psychoeducation of trauma and job stress. The provider/agency will also be required to provide a secure, HIPAA-compliant digital platform for the sessions and submit monthly reports to the Washington County Sheriff’s Department. Some key points to consider: • The provider/agency must be licensed to practice in the state of Maryland. • Experience with law enforcement mental health assessment is preferred but not required. • The provider/agency must comply with all federal and state rules and regulations regarding protected personal information. • The provider/agency will be required to provide a continuous point of contact throughout the duration of the contract. • The contract period is expected to be approximately two years.

Budget estimate

$100,000 – $500,000

Based on the information provided, it is difficult to estimate the exact budget for this opportunity. However, considering the scope of work, which includes conducting mental health assessments for approximately 115 police officers, and the requirement for a secure, HIPAA-compliant digital platform, the budget could be substantial. A possible estimate could be in the range of $100,000 to $500,000 per year, depending on the provider/agency's fees and the number of assessments conducted. This estimate is based on the assumption that the provider/agency will charge a fee per assessment, and the total number of assessments will be around 115 per year. Factors that may influence the budget include the provider/agency's experience, the level of competition, and the Washington County Sheriff’s Department's budget for mental health services.
