Description
The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) is soliciting bids for a Contractor to provide open-ended, on-call hand mowing services for roadways under the purview of the Leonardtown Maintenance Shop. The services include hand mowing of medians and roadsides at various locations, and the Contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision, materials, daily examination transportation, insurance, and incidentals necessary to ensure completion of the work outlined in the IFB to the satisfaction of the MDOT SHA. The Contract is not subject to the Living Wage Law Rates and is a non-exclusive Contract. The Contractor shall provide Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) services under the Contract and ensure all work completed is performed according to the specifications of this IFB and industry standards.
• Key responsibilities: Provide hand mowing services, furnish labor and materials, ensure compliance with laws and regulations, provide MOT services, and maintain a safe working environment.
• Scope of work: Hand mowing of medians and roadsides, provision of equipment and supplies, and completion of work as directed by the Contract Manager.
• Requirements: The Contractor shall have at least two years of experience providing similar services, possess necessary equipment and personnel, and comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
