Description

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is seeking quotations for high-core-count servers for computational design of vaccines and antibodies against diverse infectious diseases. The servers will be used by the Structural Bioinformatics Core (SBIC) to develop and apply computational biology tools to advance the design of effective vaccines and antibodies. The NIH is looking for a firm fixed-price award to the responsible offeror whose proposal represents the best value to the Government. The quotation should include unit price, list price, shipping and handling costs, delivery timeframe after award, delivery terms, prompt payment discount terms, F.O.B. point destination, product or catalog numbers, product descriptions, and any other relevant information. Some key features of the required servers include: • High-core-count servers for computational design • Utilization of generative AI technologies, including diffusion (DMs) and large language models (LLMs) • Ability to predict molecular interactions, optimize therapeutic efficiency, and accelerate the discovery of novel treatments • Reduction of the cost associated with experimental assays • Compliance with the associated NAICS code 334111 and small business size standard 1250 employees

Budget estimate

$100,000 – $500,000

The budget for this opportunity is likely to be in the range of $100,000 to $500,000, considering the cost of high-core-count servers and the complexity of the computational design requirements. The NIH's budget for this project is not explicitly stated, but based on the requirements and the industry standards, it is estimated that the budget will be within this range. Factors that may influence the likely payment range include the number of servers required, the level of customization needed, and the competition among bidders.
