Description

The Department of Energy is promoting the Multiphysics Object-Oriented Simulation Environment (MOOSE), a state-of-the-art finite-element framework for multiphysics simulations. MOOSE provides a high-level interface, a fully-coupled multiphysics solver, dimension-independent physics, automatic parallelization, and modular development for code reuse. The advantages of MOOSE include streamlined multiphysics simulation, scalability, flexibility, and a user-friendly interface. MOOSE has various applications in engineering analysis, scientific research, the energy sector, and environmental studies. • Streamlined multiphysics simulation • Scalability to over 100,000 CPU cores • Flexibility with dimension-independent physics and pluggable interfaces • User-friendly interface • Advanced features like Continuous and Discontinuous Galerkin methods and mesh adaptivity

Budget estimate

$100,000 – $1,000,000

The budget for this opportunity is difficult to estimate because the document does not specify a budget or funding amount. However, considering that MOOSE is a software framework for multiphysics simulations with various applications, the budget could be significant if the technology is successfully commercialized. The budget could be influenced by factors such as the scope of the project, the number of licenses sold, and the revenue generated from commercialization. A rough estimate could be in the range of $100,000 to $1,000,000.
