Engineering Services for Water Line Replacement Project FY25

The City of Hayward is seeking a consultant to provide engineering services for the Water Line Replacement FY25 Project. The project involves replacing approximately 8,620 feet of existing 6-inch and 12-inch cast iron and asbestos cement water mains. The selected consultant will be responsible for preparing the specifications and construction plans for the project, as well as providing construction support services. The project is expected to commence in the spring of 2027. Key services include: • Project management • Pre-design services, including utility investigation and topographical survey • Design services, including preparation of preliminary and final design plans and specifications • Bid support services • Construction support services, including attending pre-bid and pre-construction meetings and reviewing submittals • Assistance with CEQA and various organizations The City is looking for a consultant with experience in providing similar services, a strong understanding of the project needs and the City's expectations, and a commitment to meeting the project timeline.
