Structural Engineering - Professional Services

The County is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide structural engineering professional services. The selected firms will be required to perform services on an as-needed basis for small projects administered by the Public Works Division of Engineering Services. The scope of services includes building basic structural engineering services, supplemental or additional engineering services, and other professional services as required. The County is looking for firms with experience in professional services projects, a willingness to meet schedule and budget requirements, and a commitment to equal opportunity in employment. • The firm should have a team with the necessary qualifications, credentials, and technical ability to perform the requirements of the scope of services. • The firm should have prior experience with professional services projects, including structural engineering services. • The firm should have a methodology for ensuring critical and/or high priority project schedules are met and for ensuring budget requirements are not exceeded. • The firm should have the ability to adequately provide services and deliverables based on current and projected workloads. • The firm should have an overall approach to professional services, including due diligence activities, estimating project duration, formulating an opinion of probable construction cost, quality control, and construction administration.
