Description
The City of Flint is seeking a qualified contractor to rehabilitate the right‑hand (east) gate hoist assembly at the Thread Creek Dam. The work involves complete removal of the existing hoist, installation of a new 1.5 HP motor and gear drive, replacement of bearings, shaft and pinion assemblies, updated electrical controls, and concrete foundation repairs. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, and documentation required for design, fabrication, installation, alignment, testing, and final acceptance, and must deliver a minimum one‑year warranty on workmanship and equipment.
• Mechanical replacement of hoist motor, gearbox, shafts, pinions, bearings, and torque‑limit devices.
• Electrical/control panel upgrade with local, automated, and remote operation capability.
• Concrete foundation removal and replacement, including anchor bolts and grouting.
• Full set of deliverables: shop drawings, installation records, alignment reports, start‑up/testing documentation, O&M manuals, and warranty.
