Description
The Army Contracting Command – Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG), Tobyhanna Division, intends to award a sole source purchase order to Hentzen Coatings, Inc. for 650 gallons of 383 Green Polyurethane Coating. The coating must meet specific requirements, including being capable of being applied by roller to the required film thickness with a maximum of 10% volume addition of a single reducer or VOC exempt retarder. The coating must also have a shelf life of no less than 16 months.
• The coating is for use at Tobyhanna Army Depot (TYAD) and must meet TYAD's Quality Control Division’s inspection requirements.
• The coating will be used for spray application and must not produce any blisters, foaming, or other defects when applied up to 10 mils wet film thickness at temperatures between 60°F and 85°F and humidity levels normally encountered in Tobyhanna, PA.
• The Government intends to acquire this requirement under the guidelines of FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisitions Procedures and FAR Part 12, Commercial Items.
• Interested parties may submit a statement of capabilities, which will be considered by the Government to determine whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future.
