Description
The City of Redding is seeking a qualified contractor to perform a comprehensive fill‑repair project on Buena Ventura Boulevard. The work includes excavation, replacement of approximately 325 linear feet of 10‑inch sanitary sewer pipe, installation of a new manhole, placement of aggregate base, asphalt concrete, cold‑mill removal, geogrid reinforcement, curb caulk repairs, and associated traffic‑control and signage. The contract is a lump‑sum public‑works bid with a maximum engineer’s estimate of $400,000 and a required 10 % bid bond.
• Excavation & trenching (≈ 185 CY) with shoring and sheet‑pile support.
• Sewer replacement (10‑in. PVC, 325 LF) and new manhole installation.
• Roadway work: 270 CY aggregate base, 270 TON asphalt concrete, 1,700 SY cold‑milled removal, 1,450 SY geogrid placement.
• Traffic control, signage, curb caulk repair (250 LF) and pavement marking.
• Project must be completed within 20 working days, with strict environmental, safety, and permitting requirements.
