Secondary Clarifier No 1 Rehabilitation Project

The City of Santa Rosa is seeking a contractor to rehabilitate Secondary Clarifier No 1 at the Laguna Wastewater Treatment Plant. The work includes complete demolition of existing clarifier components, replacement of mechanical systems, structural repairs, electrical and instrumentation upgrades, and final testing/commissioning to return the clarifier to full operational status by the specified window. The contract calls for a 90‑working‑day construction period and includes performance and payment bonds, retention, and liquidated‑damage provisions. • Demolition and removal of drive unit, influent well, rake arm, scum baffle, and related concrete/metal components. • Installation of new drive motor, gearbox, FRP effluent launder, scum spray system, and resurfacing of structural elements. • Electrical upgrades (Motor Control Center, new conduit, lighting, grounding) and instrumentation/control system integration (PLC, sensors, interlocks). • Compliance with California seismic, safety, environmental, and DIR requirements; includes detailed engineering submittals and on‑site testing.
