Description
This Sources‑Sought Notice seeks firms capable of providing full‑service radioactive waste removal and disposal for the Department of Veterans Affairs facilities in Ann Arbor, MI and Toledo, OH. The contractor must hold an active NRC (or Agreement State) Radioactive Materials License, maintain DOT hazardous‑materials registration, and provide qualified drivers with CDL‑H endorsements. Services include providing inventory templates, waste manifests, packaging, radiation measurements, labeling, coordination with VA radiation‑safety staff, and performing up to two waste pick‑ups per contract year (no more than 50 lb of patient‑treatment waste and 200 lb of sealed‑source/by‑product waste per pickup). The contractor must also deliver notification, signed manifests, and final disposal certificates, and assume liability for any post‑possession spills.
• Hold NRC or Agreement‑State license and DOT registration; provide CDL‑H drivers.
• Supply all packaging, measurement, labeling, manifests, and disposal documentation at no charge to the VA.
• Perform waste pick‑ups within three hours of scheduled time, responding to service requests within one week.
