Description

The U.S. Coast Guard Joint Base Cape Cod is seeking a contractor to install twelve (12) government‑furnished streetlights with mounting arms at the Base in Bourne, MA. The contractor must provide all labor, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and any additional hardware required to complete the installation, secure power to existing fixtures, make all electrical connections in compliance with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), and deliver fully functional streetlights. Work must adhere to applicable state and federal regulations and be performed under the oversight of the Contracting Officer Representative (COR). The solicitation is a small‑business set‑aside (HubZone, Service‑Disabled Veteran‑Owned, Women‑Owned, etc.) and requires the contractor to be registered in SAM.gov and have an active IPP.GOV account for invoicing. • Install 12 new streetlights with mounting arms at locations determined by the COR. • Provide all necessary hardware, tools, and materials for installation. • Perform all electrical work in compliance with NFPA 70 and U.S. Coast Guard standards. • Secure power to existing fixtures and dispose of any waste per regulations. • Deliver 12 complete, operational streetlights upon project completion. • Must be a qualified small business (HubZone, SDVOSB, WOSB, etc.) and have active SAM/IPP.GOV credentials.

Budget estimate

$50,000 – $100,000

The solicitation does not disclose a total award amount. Installing twelve streetlights typically involves hardware (lamps, poles, mounting arms), labor, and compliance work. Assuming an average cost of $4,000–$8,000 per unit (including materials, labor, and overhead) yields a total contract value roughly between $48,000 and $96,000. Small‑business set‑aside contracts of this nature often fall within the $50k–$100k range, so a reasonable estimate is $50k–$100k. Factors influencing the final amount include material pricing, travel/logistics to the Cape Cod site, and any additional safety or environmental compliance requirements.
