Grit Cyclones and Classifiers (Re-Bid

The City of Garland is seeking bids for the supply of two shaftless grit classifiers, each consisting of a grit cyclone, settling hopper and trough, drive assembly, shaftless spiral, and all other appurtenances required. The equipment must meet specific design criteria and be constructed from 316 stainless steel. The contractor shall include in their bid any channel, structural, piping, valves, or other modifications necessary for a complete and operable system. Key features of the equipment include a Krebs model D10LB hydrocyclone, a shaftless spiral screw, and a drive assembly with a helical gear type reducer and a TEFC motor. • The equipment must be able to remove at least 95% of the 150-mesh grit having a specific gravity of 2.65 or greater from the underflow of the grit collection equipment. • The contractor shall provide an electronic copy of the operation and maintenance manual. • The equipment shall be completely factory assembled and inspected prior to shipment. • The warranty shall be for a minimum period of one year from start-up or 18 months from the time of equipment shipment, whichever comes first.
