Request for Information (RFI) - Special Purpose Craft – Ice Rescue Transport (SPC-IRT II) Second Generation

The United States Coast Guard is seeking information on existing or readily adaptable designs for a Special Purpose Craft – Ice Rescue Transport (SPC-IRT II) that meets their operational needs. The SPC-IRT II is a multi-mission boat intended for conducting missions in environments requiring transit over water, ice, and level areas of land. The boat should be able to traverse over grass, dirt, snow, or ice for at least 1,000 yards without hull damage and enter/depart water from land at angles up to 20 degrees. Some key features and requirements of the SPC-IRT II include: • Ability to transit over water, ice, and level areas of land • Ability to enter/depart water from land at angles up to 20 degrees • Ability to traverse over grass, dirt, snow, or ice for at least 1,000 yards without hull damage • Ability to carry 6 people (at 220 lbs. per person) onboard • Reasonable time frame for building and delivering two boats • Production rate and logistics information • Warranty terms and socio-economic status of the company
