Pellston Public Water System Contract 2: Private Well Abandonments

The Village of Pellston is seeking qualified contractors to plug and abandon existing private wells and perform site restoration. The work includes complete well decommissioning, removal of well infrastructure, backfilling, and surface restoration to meet local regulatory standards. This project is open to all qualified bidders and requires compliance with all applicable state and local codes. • Plug and seal each existing private well according to Michigan Department of Environment guidelines. • Remove any well casing, pump sets, and associated hardware. • Backfill and compact the borehole to prevent subsidence. • Restore the surface area (e.g., grading, reseeding, and erosion control) to its original condition. • Provide documentation and certificates of completion for each abandoned well.
