Intent to Single Source - NDT Solutions, LLC for Automated Ultrasonic Scanning System (AUSS) Mobile System and Operational Training

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is announcing its intention to single source a contract to NDT Solutions, LLC for the provision of an Automated Ultrasonic Scanning System (AUSS) Mobile System and operational training. The AUSS Mobile System is a next-generation replacement for the Mobile Automated System (MAUS) currently in use by the FAA. The system offers improved data compatibility, faster processing speeds, higher quality scanning and imaging, digitalization, and additional data-analysis capabilities. • The AUSS Mobile System is a direct modernized replacement for the MAUS unit, which has reached end of life. • The system is designed to provide improved data compatibility and modern upgrades. • The contract is for the provision of the AUSS Mobile System and operational training. • The FAA has a requirement for the system in support of ongoing research and testing efforts at William J. Hughes Technical Center. • NDT Solutions, LLC is the only licensed provider of the AUSS Mobile System in the United States.
