Water Treatment Plant and Hinkle to Baldwin Pipeline Valve Project

The San Juan Water District is seeking professional proposals from qualified engineering consulting firms to provide engineering services for the Water Treatment Plant and Hinkle to Baldwin Pipeline Valve Project. The project involves preparing ready for construction bid documents for the replacement of a 48” and 60” valve at the water treatment plant, the construction/installation of a new 72” valve on the Hinkle to Baldwin Pipeline, and internal repairs of a 60” treated water pipeline. The selected consultant will be required to provide the necessary equipment, materials, and labor to complete the services outlined in the scope of work. Some key aspects of the project include: • Preparing a bid package for the prepurchase of the three valves by the District • Performing site field investigations to evaluate access, area of influence, and anticipated restoration requirements • Preparing design documents (i.e., plans and specifications) at the 50%, 75%, and 100% stages of design • Providing bidding support services, including attending a pre-bid meeting and responding to bidder questions • Providing construction support services, including attending a pre-construction meeting and reviewing contractor submittals The proposal should include a technical proposal content, a cost proposal, and other required information. The selection committee will review and rank the proposals based on the criteria outlined in the RFP.
