Description
The City of Tulsa is seeking an artist or artistic team to design, protect, and install a permanent mural on both sides of Bridge #251 along historic Route 66. The mural must be high‑quality, graffiti‑resistant, and free of advertising or profanity. The contractor will also provide a title and a short narrative for the city’s Route 66 Art StoryMaps, and participate in the unveiling ceremony.
• Scope: Design (≈ 530 sq ft total) + protective coating + installation on concrete bridge walls.
• Budget: $1,800 total (covers design, materials, labor, insurance, permits, contingency).
• Timeline: Proposal due 26 Aug 2026; award 17 Sep 2026; installation Sep‑Nov 2026; unveiling TBD.
