The VA Portland Health Care is seeking a reverse osmosis (RO) hemodialysis water purification system, Brand Name or Equal (BNOE) to the EON Portable RO Water Purification System. The system must meet specific requirements, including being compact, having a small footprint, and having a minimum permeate flow of 85 L/h. The system must also be capable of maintaining a certain level of water quality and have various features such as automatic flushing and continuous product water loop. The contractor will be responsible for delivering and installing the system, as well as providing initial system orientation and training.
Some key features and requirements of the system include:
• Compact design with a small footprint (approx. 20" x 22" x 50") and weight under 36kg
• Quick-connect fittings for feed, drain, and permeate lines
• Operational noise not exceeding 44-46 dB
• Minimum permeate flow of 85 L/h
• Capable of maintaining 8–12 bar (116–174 optimal with max of 290 psi)
• Permeate conductivity ≤ 10 µS/cm or as per AAMI standards
• Adjustable water recovery rate of up to 70%
• Integrated carbon filtration and sediment pre-filter; optional ultrafiltration for endotoxin control
• Pump Type: High-efficiency stainless steel multistage pump
• Power Supply: Compatible with 120 V / 60 Hz or 230 V / 50 Hz, single-phase
• Disinfection Capability: Built-in heat or chemical disinfection cycle
• Safety Features: Automatic shutdown on high conductivity or pressure; alarms for feed water failure, leaks, and system faults
• User Interface: Simple, intuitive control panel with real-time monitoring of pressure, conductivity, and temperature
