Description
The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) is seeking information from qualified industry participants, technology providers, research institutions, and implementation partners to assist in conducting a market survey of Department of Defense (DoD) approved "Blue List" unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs) suitable for substation patrol and inspection. The goal is to identify trusted ground drone systems designed for industrial and defense applications that are capable of autonomous navigation, multi-sensor inspection, and secure data transmission within substation environments.
• The RFI objectives include identifying DoD-approved or NDAA-compliant ground drones, assessing technical capabilities, evaluating cybersecurity, estimating cost, and exploring pilot collaboration opportunities.
• Respondents are invited to provide detailed information addressing platform overview, technical capabilities, system integration, safety and compliance, operations, maintenance, and support.
• LADWP seeks input from qualified technology vendors, defense-certified manufacturers, and research partners with expertise in autonomous ground robotics and industrial inspection.
