Description
Meriwether County is seeking a proposal for the remounting of an existing Type 1 ambulance box on a new chassis. The project includes refurbishing, inspecting, and certifying the ambulance box, as well as providing a warranty and maintenance contract. The proposal should include a narrative description of the bidder's experience, timeframe for completion, warranty information, and a list of entities for whom the bidder has completed similar projects. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible proposer whose proposal will be most advantageous to Meriwether County, considering factors such as compliance with bid specifications, time frame of completion, history of performance, warranty, and pricing.
Some key features of the project include:
• Refurbishment of the existing Type 1 ambulance box
• Installation of a new console in the cab area
• Upgrades to the electrical system, including a new 12-volt power panel and wiring
• Replacement of exterior body trim, including stone guards, skirt/rub rails, and rear kick panel
• Installation of new warning lights, sirens, and backup alert
• Refurbishment of the interior patient compartment, including new floor covering, thresholds, upholstery, and patient compartment cabinets
• Installation of a new heating/cooling system and power ventilator
• Testing and certification of the oxygen and vacuum systems
