The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) seeks a qualified small‑business contractor to remove, legally dispose of, and replace doors and door frames at its Redding Maintenance Facility in Shasta County. The work includes supplying new fire‑rated metal doors and frames, associated hardware, grout‑filled jambs, interior‑finish restoration, and factory‑applied paint, with all labor, equipment, permits, and incidentals provided by the contractor. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive, qualified bidder and will run for approximately four months after a notice to proceed is issued.
• Remove and dispose of 14‑15 existing hollow‑metal, 90‑minute fire‑rated doors and frames.
• Supply and install new doors, frames, hinges, locks, closers, thresholds, weather‑stripping, and grout‑filled jambs; paint to Caltrans‑approved color.
• Restore any damaged interior finishes (tile, drywall) and comply with prevailing‑wage, DIR registration, bonding, insurance, and SB/DVBE certifications.
