Instructional Material Recycling

The El Paso Independent School District (EPISD) is seeking proposals from qualified firms and/or individuals to provide environmentally responsible recycling, repurposing, and/or disposal services for outdated, damaged, or surplus instructional materials. The selected vendor will be responsible for collecting, transporting, and processing instructional materials, including textbooks, workbooks, and related printed curriculum resources. The vendor must provide certification of recycling or destruction and maintain compliance with all applicable environmental regulations. The contract term will be for one year, with the option to extend for up to four additional years. • The vendor must provide regular scheduled pickups, emergency collection services, and maintain reliable and flexible service capabilities. • The vendor must provide detailed reports of destruction or recycling for all materials processed. • The vendor must maintain comprehensive records of all services provided, including collection logs, weight tickets, and manifests. • The vendor must employ qualified personnel with appropriate training and experience. The EPISD is committed to reducing landfill waste and promoting sustainability initiatives, and the selected vendor must demonstrate the capacity, reliability, and sustainability practices necessary to handle large-scale recycling of instructional materials in a timely, efficient, and cost-effective manner.
