ITB - Connecting Lynnwood: Poplar Way Bridge

The project involves the construction of a new multimodal six-lane bridge over I-5 between the intersections of 196th Street SW and Poplar Way, and 33rd Avenue W and Alderwood Mall Boulevard. The bridge will provide multimodal travel with a sidewalk on the west side and a shared use path on the east side. The two intersections will be modified to meet the profile and width of the new bridge, and a tunnel will be constructed to allow the Interurban Trail to pass beneath the new bridge. Other work includes widening and restriping of portions of Poplar Way, 196th Street SW, Alderwood Mall Boulevard, 33rd Avenue W, and Alderwood Mall Parkway. • Construction of a new six-lane bridge over I-5 • Modification of two intersections to meet the profile and width of the new bridge • Construction of a tunnel to allow the Interurban Trail to pass beneath the new bridge • Widening and restriping of portions of nearby roads
