Description
The Jones County Junior College is seeking bids for the construction of a pedestrian plaza and lighting at the Central Avenue Walking Plaza. The project includes all labor, equipment, and materials necessary for completion. The contractor must agree to commence work on or before a specified date and fully complete the project within the Contract Time. * The project is a federal-aid project, subject to the Work Hours Act of 1962 and the Mississippi Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction, 2017.
* The contractor must satisfy the DBE/WBE requirements.
* The bid security is 5% of the total bid price, and the successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance and payment bond in the amount of 100% of the contract amount.
* The college reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive technicalities or irregularities.
* The bidder must agree to pay liquidated damages for each calendar day of overrun in Contract Time that work is not completed.
