Description
The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is seeking information from industry sources to determine the availability and capability of small businesses and other than small businesses to provide preventative maintenance, repair, and testing service for high and low voltage electrical equipment of the Combined Heat and Power (CHP) system at the Central Plant (Building 302) of NIST Gaithersburg. The maintenance service will be performed during one of two scheduled CHP system shutdowns, either during 2026 Fall Outage (in October) or during the 2027 Spring Outage (in April). All service is expected to be completed by 06/30/2027.
• The notice is strictly for market research purposes to help NIST determine the appropriate acquisition strategy for this requirement.
• Respondents are encouraged to submit responses to [email protected] by the closing date of this notice.
• Responses should include company information, validation of company size status, and any suggestions for improving the draft Statement of Work (SOW).
• Respondents may also provide an estimate for the draft SOW requirements and information about their company’s safety program and ability to complete the tasks detailed in the SOW.
