Description

The U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command-Armaments Center is conducting market research to identify potential sources for blast overpressure and physiological sensors. The contractor shall provide a device with integrated blast overpressure measurement and physiological monitoring system for Government evaluation. The device must include capabilities such as heart rate, respiration, electrooculography, gate analysis, pulse oximeter, and electroencephalography. The contractor shall also provide technical information and support for the Government to use the devices in its own verification, validation, and operational assessments. • The device must collect the entire time series of the blast at minimum, including the peak overpressure, positive phase duration, and positive phase impulse. • The device must not use an accelerometer to capture the blast overpressure data unless it has been verified to capture all the blast parameters mentioned above. • The contractor shall build and deliver a system including the firmware, software, hardware, and configuration needed to record, store, and export integrated physiological and blast overpressure data. • The contractor shall provide technical support, as requested by the Government, to address issues discovered during Government-led verification and validation and to inform potential improvements for follow-on system generations.

Budget estimate

$500,000 – $5,000,000

The budget for this opportunity is difficult to estimate, as the document does not provide a specific amount or range. However, considering the complexity of the device and the requirements specified, it is likely that the budget will be substantial. The device must include advanced sensors and monitoring systems, which can be costly to develop and manufacture. Additionally, the contractor will need to provide technical support and maintenance, which can also add to the overall cost. A rough estimate for the budget could be between $500,000 and $5,000,000, depending on the scope of the project and the number of devices required.
