Description
The City of Salina is seeking an engineering consulting firm to perform comprehensive design and construction‑phase services for the replacement of three deteriorating corrugated metal pipe culverts on Fairdale Road. The scope includes hydrologic/hydraulic analysis, evaluation of design alternatives, preparation of construction documents, easement acquisition, utility relocation assistance, potential retaining‑wall review, and project management through design, bid, and construction. The consultant must demonstrate experience on similar small‑scale drainage projects and be able to meet a tight design schedule (Feb‑Apr 2027) and overall project timeline (Nov 2026‑Nov 2027).
• Conduct updated hydrologic and hydraulic analyses for a 25‑year storm event (≈86‑143 cfs).
• Design replacement culverts and associated drainage improvements, prepare civil/structural plans and specifications.
• Coordinate easements, utility relocations, and assist with retaining‑wall considerations; manage bid preparation and construction‑phase support.
