Workers' Compensation Nurse Case Management

Broome County is seeking proposals from experienced and qualified firms to provide exclusive professional nurse case management services for the employees of Broome County and County municipalities that participate in the workers' compensation pool. The selected firm will provide services including review of lost time injuries/illnesses, micro case management, maintenance of a database of assigned cases, and provision of reports. The contract term will be for five years, with the option to cancel without cause upon 90 days' notice after the first year. • The firm must have at least 10 years of experience as a business and must assign case managers with qualifications agreed to in advance by the County. • The firm must provide and maintain insurance as described in the attached contract insurance specifications. • The firm must comply with all applicable laws, rules, regulations, and licensing requirements. • The firm must provide a guaranteed minimum annual fee for 500 hours of service per year and a per-hour fee for all service hours above 500 hours. • The firm must provide a report showing monthly case management hours by case and assist with forecasting and budgeting for annual insurance-related expenditures.
