7A--Notice of Intent to Issue a Sole Source Award

The U.S. Department of Energy (EIA), Energy Information Administration (EIA), intends to issue a sole source award to Bloomberg Finance L.P. for the renewal support of EIA’s Bloomberg Anywhere and Physical Terminal Licenses. These licenses provide industry-standard broker/dealer access to EIA Analysts, which cannot be obtained anywhere else. The licenses also provide EIA with access to the latest information, data, and news stories related to energy markets. The data from the Bloomberg Professional service may also be used in EIA’s Daily Energy Report, Weekly Petroleum Status Report, Today in Energy, and other publications. • The contract includes a base year and up to four option year periods. • The licenses provide access to industry-standard broker/dealer data and tools. • The data from the Bloomberg Professional service may be used in various EIA publications. • The contract is for the renewal support of existing licenses.
