Custodial Services for Emergency and Extended Learning Support

Las Virgenes Unified School District is seeking a qualified custodial‑service provider to deliver supplemental, on‑call, and scheduled cleaning, sanitation, and disinfection across its K‑12 campuses, administrative offices, and extended‑learning spaces. The contractor will handle daily routine cleaning, periodic deep‑cleaning, and 24/7 emergency response (e.g., spills, bio‑hazard incidents, weather‑related clean‑ups). All cleaning supplies and equipment will be supplied by the District, while the contractor must provide qualified W‑2 staff, maintain background‑check and TB clearances, and meet strict safety and performance standards. The contract runs from mid‑February 2026 through June 2027 with up‑to‑four optional one‑year renewals. • Daily custodial tasks: classrooms, restrooms, hallways, cafeterias, gyms, trash removal, high‑touch surface disinfection. • Periodic/deep‑cleaning: floor stripping/waxing, carpet extraction, window cleaning, pressure washing, scheduled around non‑instructional days. • Emergency & special‑event services: 24/7 on‑call response within 2 hours, coverage for after‑school programs, community events, and weather‑related incidents. • Staffing & compliance: minimum 5 years experience, W‑2 employees only, AB 5 compliance, background/fingerprint/TB clearances, OSHA/Cal‑OSHA training, uniformed staff with ID badges. • Reporting & quality assurance: daily logs, monthly performance reports, District inspections, deficiencies corrected within 24 hours.
