Description
The Regional Transit Authority of New Orleans is seeking qualified vendors to replace the trolley‑lift cable system used for its streetcar fleet. The work includes removal of the existing damaged cable and associated hardware, fabrication and installation of new C‑channel supports, delivery and installation of a new cable set, temporary support structures during the swap, pit cleaning using a vacuum truck, and final inspection and testing. The contract will be awarded on a fixed‑price basis and requires compliance with Buy‑America, safety, and equal‑opportunity regulations.
• Replace and install a new trolley‑lift cable with associated hardware at the RTA streetcar facility.
• Provide temporary support structures, remove existing components, and fabricate new steel C‑channel posts.
• Perform pit cleaning, disposal services, and post‑installation testing/acceptance within 30 days of contract award.
• All work must be performed in New Orleans, LA, following OSHA, FTA, and local safety standards.
