Intent to Sole Source- SOCSOUTH Shooting Range

The Special Operations Command South (SOCSOUTH) is seeking to award a sole-source contract for access to and use of a private, outdoor, long-distance small arms firing range. The range must meet specific requirements, including being located within a 10-mile radius and 30-minute drive time from SOCSOUTH Headquarters, providing a firing line capable of engagement out to a minimum of 500 meters, and supporting qualifications with various small arms weapon systems. The contract is for a firm-fixed-price contract, and the Homestead Training Center is the only facility that can meet all of the Government's minimum essential requirements. • The facility must be an outdoor facility to accommodate the ballistics of military-grade weapons and the nature of advanced tactical training. • The facility must be located within a ten (10) mile radius and a thirty (30) minute drive time from SOCSOUTH Headquarters. • The facility must provide a firing line capable of engagement out to a minimum of 500 meters. • The facility must support qualifications with the M4 Carbine, M9 Pistol, 7.62mm rifles, and other small arms weapon systems organic to a special operations unit. • The facility must be closed to the public or provide exclusive-use tactical bays that ensure complete privacy and operational security.
