CITY OF KINGSTON/TOWN OF ULSTER ALBANY/ULSTER AVENUE CORRIDOR MANAGEMENT PLAN

The Ulster County Planning Department is seeking a consulting firm to complete a Corridor Management Plan for the Albany and Ulster Avenues corridor. The plan will assess existing conditions, identify safety improvements, and recommend design concepts to support active transportation and public transportation access. The project will involve public engagement, data collection, and analysis of traffic and crash data. The goal is to create a safer and more efficient corridor that meets the needs of all users. • The project will focus on a 2.2-mile section of the corridor from the I-587-Albany-Broadway roundabout in the City of Kingston to Route 9W in the Town of Ulster. • The consultant will be required to provide a project manager, conduct public outreach, and develop a public engagement plan. • The project will involve the collection and analysis of traffic data, crash data, and other relevant information. • The consultant will be required to provide regular project updates and attend meetings with the Technical Advisory Committee. • The project is expected to be completed within 14 months.
