Description
The City of Salina is seeking an engineering consulting firm to provide full‑service design and construction‑phase support for the replacement of three deteriorating culverts on Fairdale Road. The scope includes reviewing existing conditions, conducting hydrologic/hydraulic analyses, evaluating replacement alternatives, developing design documents, coordinating easements and utilities, and assisting with construction‑phase activities such as bidding and oversight. The project follows a tight schedule, with selection announced by late September 2026 and construction expected to be completed by November 2027.
• Review 2008 drainage study and downstream box‑culvert conditions.
• Perform updated H‑H analyses and develop alternative designs for 28‑in × 40‑in corrugated metal pipe culverts.
• Prepare construction plans, specifications, and assist with easement acquisition, utility relocation, and construction bidding.
