Description

Clemson University is seeking a vendor to supply the necessary equipment and labor to remove and purchase scrap metal and metal‑containing equipment from designated locations across its campus. The contractor will be responsible for safely extracting the material, loading it onto transport, and delivering it to a recycling facility or purchaser as directed. This is a one‑time, on‑site service that requires both mechanical capability and compliance with university safety policies. • Provide all tools, machinery, and personnel needed for scrap metal removal. • Safely dismantle and transport metal items from multiple campus sites. • Coordinate disposal/recycling with approved vendors and submit required documentation.

Budget estimate

$5,000 – $20,000

The contract is likely valued based on the volume of scrap metal removed. Assuming a modest campus operation (a few tons of metal), rates for scrap metal removal typically range from $500 to $1,000 per ton inclusive of labor and equipment. This yields an estimated total contract value between $5,000 and $20,000, depending on the actual quantity and any additional disposal fees.
