Description

The opportunity is for the development of high-performance cation exchange media with enhanced thermal stability and ion exchange capacity. The media should be able to operate at temperatures above 250°F and have a total mixed bed ion exchange capacity greater than 0.8 milliequivalents per milliliter. The selected materials will be tested for cation exchange capacity, solubility, and physical integrity at varying temperatures and durations. • The media should have improved thermal stability to enable normal operating temperature ≥ 250°F at saturation pressure or above. • The media should have a total mixed bed ion exchange capacity >0.8 milliequivalents per milliliter. • The media should have low solubility in dilute alkaline solution at elevated temperature.
