JCAC Executive Airport (OJC) Construct Runway 36 Runup Apron Project

The Johnson County Airport Commission (JCAC) is seeking bids for the construction of a new run-up area for Runway 36 at the Johnson County Executive Airport (OJC). The project includes site preparation, earthwork, installation of aggregate base and PCC pavement, pavement marking, and drainage improvements. Additionally, the project includes the installation of taxiway lighting, electrical duct banks, cabling, and regulator, as well as the removal of the existing lighting system. • The project requires the submission of a bid bond, DBE forms, and a Buy American certification. • The project is subject to the Davis-Bacon Act and requires compliance with wage and labor provisions. • The project includes a non-mandatory pre-bid conference and site visit. • The project requires the submission of a statement of qualifications and evidence of competence to perform the work. • The project is conditioned upon the bidder satisfying the good faith effort requirements of the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT), 49 CFR 26.53.
