26-03 1. SR 127 Water Supply & Treatment Facility Contract A - Local Well

The Houston County Board of Commissioners is seeking bids for the construction of a new 2,000 GPM deep well as part of the SR 127 Water Supply & Treatment Facility Contract A - Local Well project. The work includes site work, yard piping, erosion and sediment control measures, grassing, construction staking, mobilization/demobilization, bonds, insurance, delivery of materials, taxes, and all other necessary appurtenances. The project is expected to be completed within 150 consecutive calendar days from the date of the "Notice to Proceed". • The well must be constructed by a licensed water well contractor in the State of Georgia. • A pre-proposal conference will be held on November 4, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Houston County Public Works, which is mandatory for all prospective offerors. • Proposals must be accompanied by a bid bond or certified cashier's check in an amount not less than 10% of the base bid. • The successful offeror will be required to provide performance and payment bonds, each in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price.
