GV Avionics and Display Upgrade

NASA’s Armstrong Flight Research Center is seeking a qualified contractor to perform two integrated avionics upgrade packages on Gulfstream V aircraft: (1) replacement of six legacy DU880 CRT displays with six ASC183B DU885 LCD “PlaneDeck” units featuring Synthetic Vision System (SVS) capability, and (2) installation of three Honeywell Laseref IV infrared sensor units under existing Supplemental Type Certificates. The work includes procurement of the hardware, wiring and rack modifications, integration of control and database loader software, removal of legacy cooling hardware, and post‑install alignment and certification testing. All work must be completed at the contractor’s secured facility and returned to NASA by July 23 2026, with a maximum aircraft downtime of 20 working days.
