RFP C1742 - Strategic Planning Consulting Services

The Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) is seeking a consultant to develop a 5-year strategic plan. The plan should be evidence-based, consider the institution's unique position in the creative economy, and prioritize student success and equity. The consultant will work with an institutional strategic plan steering committee to complete the following tasks over a 10-month period: 1. Conduct a comprehensive internal and external scan to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. 2. Develop a strategic framework, including a revised mission, vision, and values statement, and 3-5 strategic goals with measurable outcomes. 3. Create an implementation plan, including action steps, resource requirements, and a framework for annual review and assessment. The consultant is expected to deliver a comprehensive strategic plan document, including: * Executive summary * Strategic planning methodology * Vision and values statement * Market analysis, including a SWOT analysis * Strategic goals and deliverables * Performance management plan Proposals should be submitted electronically in PDF format by May 18, 2026, 12:00 PM, to the FIT Purchasing Office. The proposal should include: * A comprehensive and complete proposal with individual sections * A clear and concise description of the consultant's approach and methodology * A detailed outline of the scope of work and timeline * A breakdown of the costs and fees associated with the project The selection process will include: * Review of proposals * Possible presentations or interviews with selected firms * Selection of a consultant based on the proposal and presentation (if applicable) The project is expected to commence within 10 days of the award, and the final deliverables are due by April 15, 2027.
