FIVE WELL HOT FOOD COUNTER

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is conducting market research to identify businesses capable of providing three commercial-grade five-well hot food counters for use in the facility's dining hall(s) at the Tuscaloosa VA Medical Center. The equipment must meet or exceed the mandatory salient characteristics listed, which include a 14-gauge stainless steel countertop, five individual thermostatically controlled hot food wells, and a drainage system. Vendors are encouraged to indicate which optional features their products support. Interested vendors should submit a capability statement that addresses business information, technical capability, contract vehicles, past performance, and pricing information. • The VA is transitioning to a cook-serve model to provide fresh, healthy meals to veterans. • The equipment must be delivered within 30-45 calendar days after contract award. • Installation and demonstration of the equipment are required upon delivery. • The VA encourages responses from certified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) concerns. • Responses should be limited to ten pages or fewer and submitted electronically via email.
