Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a contractor to provide an induction sealer for the Charleston CMOP. The sealer must be able to process 150 bottles per minute at a 6-inch spacing, which correlates to 75 feet per minute. The actual conveyor speed is 55 feet per minute. The sealer will be used to seal pharmaceuticals, including tablets, capsules, and caplets, in 120cc and 250cc amber bottles with 43mm diameter caps. The cap style is a convertible CRC with an outer ring to enable or disable the child-resistant feature.
* The sealer must be able to accommodate two different bottle heights.
* The sealer must be able to process bottles with a 43mm diameter cap.
* The sealer must be able to seal pharmaceuticals, including tablets, capsules, and caplets.
* The sealer must be able to operate at a speed of 75 feet per minute.
* The sealer must be able to accommodate a production line speed of 55 feet per minute.
