CENTRALIZED GAC TREATMENT NAPILI AND HONOKAHUA WELLFIELD NAPILI, MAUI, HAWAII

The County of Maui, Department of Water Supply, is soliciting proposals for the design and construction of a centralized granular activated carbon (GAC) treatment system for the Napili and Honokahua wellfields. The project includes replacing the existing GAC vessel and expanding the system to accommodate groundwater from three existing wells. The scope of work includes installation of a new GAC filtration system, water lines, and appurtenances, as well as ensuring compliance with current engineering standards and regulations. The contract will be for a firm, fixed price, lump sum design-build contract. • The project is funded by the Department of Water Supply Capital Revolving Fund and the State Department of Health-Safe Drinking Water Branch (DOH-SDWB) State Revolving Fund (SRF) Loan. • The project must meet American Iron and Steel (AIS) and Build America Buy America (BABA) certification requirements. • The project must adhere to the State Historic Preservation Department (SHPD) environment review process, including the federal 106 process review. • The contractor must obtain all necessary permits and approvals for the performance of the contract. • The contractor must comply with all applicable federal, state, and county laws, ordinances, codes, rules, and regulations.
