FRA – Olentangy Trail Scioto Trail

The City of Columbus is seeking qualified contractors to perform safety‑related improvements along the Olentangy and Scioto Trails, including pavement repair, crack sealing, signage replacement, tree protection, and related site work. The contract is limited to ODOT‑pre‑qualified firms that will self‑perform at least 30‑50 % of the work and meet a 5 % Small‑Business Enterprise goal. A 10 % bid bond and 100 % performance bond are required, along with a signed Proposal Signature Affidavit. The scope covers multiple park and trail segments, with an interim substantial‑completion target of October 30 2026 and a final completion date of June 1 2027. • Pavement work: mill, tack coat, intermediate and surface courses, crack repair, and joint sealing. • Site work: utility coordination, tree protection/pruning (oak‑wilt and bat‑habitat windows), brush trimming, drainage grading, and restoration of disturbed areas. • Signage and markings: installation of pavement markings, signage removal/installation, and compliance with COG sign standards. • Compliance: ODOT pre‑qualification, SBE/DBE utilization plans, prevailing‑wage (Davis‑Bacon) rates, insurance, workers’ comp, and contract‑compliance numbers.
