Description
The Colorado Department of Public Safety (CDPS) is seeking a qualified vendor to provide pre-employment polygraph services. The selected vendor will be responsible for performing polygraph exams, providing written reports, and testifying or providing phone consultations as needed. The vendor must have experience working with law enforcement professionals and must meet specific requirements, including having a bachelor's degree in criminal justice or a related field, graduating from an education program recognized by the American Polygraph Association or the American Association of Police Polygraphists, and completing continuing education requirements. The vendor must also utilize equipment that is properly calibrated and in good working order, have experience with interview and interrogation techniques, and have strong communication skills and accessibility awareness.
Key points to consider:
• The vendor must be able to perform polygraph exams within the Denver Metro service area and have the ability to travel statewide to accommodate exams.
• The vendor must be able to provide services in a timely manner, with polygraph exams scheduled within two business days of request and completed within 10 days.
• The vendor must provide written reports and audio/video recordings of polygraph exams to CDPS Human Resources within three business days of the exam.
• The vendor must have experience working with law enforcement professionals and must meet specific requirements.
• The contract term is anticipated to be five years, with an initial term of one year and four optional one-year extensions.
