Spray Polyurethane Foam Insulation Services at Bldg. 9 Mezzanine

The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division (NSWCCD) is conducting a sources sought notice to identify contractors who can provide spray polyurethane foam insulation services at the Bldg. 9 Mezzanine area. The objective is to install a high-performance air barrier and insulation system to improve energy efficiency, durability, and environmental control. The scope of work includes surface preparation, spray foam application, and protective coatings. The contractor must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the application of commercial spray foam insulation systems, and all workers must be vetted US Citizens authorized to work on NSWC grounds. Key requirements include: • Surface preparation: cleaning all substrates per industry standards • Spray foam application: applying closed-cell SPF insulation to a thickness of 3 inches (R-21 Value) on the ceiling and 4 inches (R-28 Value) on the walls • Protective coatings: applying a fire stop intumescent coating and two finish coats of Pre-Catalyzed Water-Base Epoxy in semi-gloss white
