USCG SITKA ALASKA Cutter Support Building Repair Heating System

The United States Coast Guard is seeking a contractor to repair the heating system at the Cutter Support Building in Sitka, Alaska. The scope of work includes demolishing and removing the existing boiler system and hydronic heaters, and replacing them with in-kind equipment. The contractor will be responsible for furnishing and installing a new 480 MBH boiler and two new hydronic unit heaters, as well as all associated valves, fittings, and piping. The work must be completed within 14 business days from the start of work. • Isolating, draining, and safely removing the two existing unit heaters and all associated valves and piping. • Furnishing and installing a new, in-kind 480 MBH Boiler. • Furnishing and installing two new, in-kind hydronic unit heaters. • Furnishing and installing all new associated shut-off valves, unions, and fittings required for a complete and functional installation. • Reconnecting the new heaters to the existing hydronic piping and electrical systems. • Refilling the system, purging all air, and conducting a complete service and inspection of the boiler system. • Testing the new heaters to ensure they are fully operational and performing to specification. • Removing all debris from the work site and leaving the area in a clean and orderly condition.
