Description
The East Orange Board of Education is seeking a professional civil‑engineering firm to provide a full suite of design, consulting, inspection, and related services for its school facilities during the 2026‑2027 school year. The contract also requires the contractor to develop and deliver a structured student apprenticeship/ workforce‑development program aligned with the engineering services. Deliverables include environmental planning, facility design, surveys, permitting support, construction inspection, technical reporting, and coordination with district staff, plus a curriculum for student training.
• Provide civil‑engineering design and consulting (environmental, structural, utilities, site‑work, etc.) on an “as‑needed” basis.
• Conduct surveys, inspections, permit coordination, and prepare technical reports and as‑built drawings.
• Develop and execute a supervised student‑training program covering classroom instruction, field observations, and hands‑on (non‑hazardous) activities, using licensed professionals.
• Submit a sealed proposal (original + duplicate) with required certifications, insurance, non‑collusion affidavit, and pricing schedule by June 4 2026.
